Human remains found in Dauphin County park had been there for a long while: officials

The skeletal remains were found along with clothing fragments in a remote area of Reservoir Park.

The skeletal human remains found in Reservoir Park in Highspire, Dauphin County, on Thursday evening appear to have decomposed in place over an extended period of time, county officials said Friday.

In a message issued through Dauphin County Press Secretary Jennifer Fitch, officials said that the bones were found along with scraps of clothing in a “difficult to access, wooded area of the park.” The county cannot yet confirm the gender or age of the deceased person.
