With the 2024 draft class almost entirely signed, here’s a quick look at how much guaranteed money the Seahawks gave to the undrafted free agents they signed after the draft.
Free agency and the draft are in the rear view mirror in the first offseason of the Mike Macdonald tenure as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, and just three weeks of the offseason program remain between now and the true doldrums of summer. That, of course, means that while training camp is little more than two months away, but also that the ink has dried and the details shared on the contracts signed by the undrafted free agents the Hawks inked after the draft.
For example, Nelson Ceaser has $100,000 of base salary guarantees, while during the 2024 season the salary for members of NFL practice squads is set at $12,500 per week, or $225,000 for the entire season. That means that if Ceaser is on the practice squad of the Seahawks or any other team for eight weeks or more during the 2024 season, he will earn $100,000 or more in salary, and the Seahawks would have no obligation to pay him any additional money.
