“They threw well,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “Both have great stuff. It’s good to get them out there, get their feet wet here today. It’s only going to get better for those two. He went unsigned in 2021 after being drafted 10th overall by the New York Mets, and hit 99 miles per hour in a pre-draft showcase run with the Tri-City Valley Cats last spring. His velocity didn’t reach those heights on Tuesday, though Rocker, the organization’s 10th-ranked prospect per Baseball America, said there’s no reason for concern.
