Laila Blair scored 12 points and Tatyana Hill added eight points and 13 rebounds as fourth-seeded Houston beat fifth-seeded SMU 52-33 on Tuesday at the American Athletic Conference women’s basketball tournament in Fort Worth. The Cougars advanced to Wednesday’s semifinal against No. 8 seed Wichita State, which stunned top-seeded South Florida 65-53. Before Tuesday, the AAC’s top seed had been 27-0 all-time in the tournament.More College Sports News
