Investigators say they were called initially to look into a woman getting hit by a car, but while police were blocking off the scene, a suspected drunk driver with 2 small children hit an officer's patrol car.

Dallas with Houston Police Department said a driver hit a young woman on Eastex Fwy Road and Laura Koppe, causing her to fall over the retaining wall.
While police were investigating the initial crash scene, Sgt. Dallas explained how one officer was blocking a certain part of the scene and a suspected drunk driver went through anyway and hit the officer’s patrol car.Sgt. Dallas said the suspected drunk driver had two small children in the car. All three, as well as the unidentified officer, were taken to the hospital.
