Houston, 'America’s stealthy powerhouse on the rise,' cracks top 10 in new ranking of best cities

But beyond its overall finish in the top 10, Resonance also ranked Houston No. 5 for its infrastructure and institutions, such as the area's two major airports, variety of museums and the number of professional sports teams. This year marks the first year Houston made it into the top 10. It had a No. 11 finish in 2022 and had been named as No. 17 in 2021. Houston also was the top-ranked Texas city this year , with Dallas and Austin falling to No. 15 and No.18, respectively.
