Numerous local players earn Class 6A state tennis berths
Memorial’s Egor Morozov, who qualified for the state tournament last year, is returning to the event April 25-26 with partner Kat Lowy in mixed doubles as the duo won the Region 3-6A championship Wednesday in Deer Park.Allan Zu of Seven Lakes, the No. 2 seed, captured the boys singles title with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win over Ethan Everk of Paetow to highlight local performances in the Region 3-6A tennis tournament which concluded Wednesday at Deer Park High School.No.
Sriniketh also qualified for the state tournament when she defeated Namrata Makhija of Jordan in a playback match by a score of 6-0, 2-6, 7-5.
