Asia-Pacific stocks mostly increased Thursday, Oct. 12, with shares in Hong Kong rising for the sixth day and the Japanese market showing a third day of gains.
Among Hang Seng Index constituents, optical instruments company Sunny Optical Technology 2382, +3.04% saw the largest increase Thursday, as shares surged 12.2%. Shares of marine transport firm Orient Overseas Intl 316, +2.47% and jewelry retailing company Chow Tai Fook Jewellery 1929, +3.58% dropped 1.8% and 1.2%, respectively.
