Amateur archaeologists' find of five skeletons, including two children, in a Nazi-built building in Poland raises several questions.
While looking for artifacts, archaeologists at the Latebra Foundation found five skeletons without hands and feet under the floorboards of a Nazi-controlled building in Poland. The building belonged to Hermann Goring and served as Hitler’s secret Eastern Front headquarters, Wolfsschanze , during the Second World War.
The villa has been lying in ruins for decades and has been off-limits to the public. It was here that the archaeologists found the decaying bodies of five people, three adults and two children. The missing hands and feet add to the mystery of their presence and raise questions about activities during the Third Reich. is that the Wolf’s Lair isn’t known as a concentration camp. Instead, the highly secretive complex was used by the Nazi leadership to plan strategic moves against the Soviet Union.
After his visit in November 1944, Hitler ordered the demolition of the building as the Soviet offense began against the Nazi forces. The Wolf’s Lair was also liberated on the same day as the Auschwitz concentration camp.
