Abdullah, de 55 años, murió por un ataque aéreo perpetrado la noche del martes. El miércoles por la tarde, su féretro fue trasladado al bastión de Hezbollah en el sur de Beirut. Cientos de seguidores y altos cargos de la milicia asistieron a la ceremonia. El cadáver fue enterrado en Aadschit, ciudad natal de Abdullah.
