The second end-credit scene reveals that after the giant blast, Shadow survived. Which makes us think maybe Eggman survived too. A part of me wonders if the introduction of Shadow’s mini black hole powers came into play here, as they were introduced when Team Sonic was almost sucked into one earlier in the film. Maybe he unleashed one to transport himself and Eggman to realms unknown. In any case, we’re glad we’re getting more Shadow the Hedgehog.
