By now, you've probably heard that the San Francisco Bay Area is about to get miserably hot, especially in inland areas.

Service has sounded the alarm bells, warning of dangerous heat in inland areas over the three-day Labor Day weekend that could impact those who aren't normally sensitive to heat illness.

Sunday marks the front end of the heat wave and inland areas will start to experience dangerous conditions. Livermore, for example, could sizzle at 102."Expect a considerable uptick in temperatures, especially away from the coast," the weather service said."Interior highs will be in the 90s to lower 100s."

Sunday is the start of the weather service's excessive heat warning for inland valleys that continues until Tuesday at 8 p.m."Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities," the weather service said.
