HiDive announced on Monday that it had acquired the rights to the new action fantasy TV series Helck, based on the popular manga series.
, which is based on the popular manga series written and illustrated by Nanaki Nanao.
In their announcement, HiDive also confirmed that the anime series will be simulcast exclusively on their streaming platform, and will premiere sometime in the upcoming summer 2023 season of content. Alongside the news, HiDive also premiered the first-ever promotional video for the series, giving fans an early look at what to expect from the highly anticipated anime series.
“A certain country in the demon world. The Demon King was defeated by the hands of one of the heroes, and a competition was held for the title of the New Demon King,” reads the official synopsis for the series. “The Imperial Four Heavenly Kings Vermilio, who is in charge of the tournament, is furious at the participation of the human hero Helck, who is supposed to be his enemy.
