At the time of that announcement, Hawaii averaged about 720 new Covid-19 cases a day over a seven-day period, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The state has averaged about 130 new cases a day over the past seven days, according to Johns Hopkins.than they typically do after Labor Day, and many hospitality workers saw reduced hours.
