Kong waiting on Godzilla as he stand next to the Hollow Earth portal in Godzilla x Kong The New Empire
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary A moment in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire proves the existence of a Titan species that makes even Godzilla look small in comparison. Over the years, Legendary's movies have filled the Monsterverse with all manner of Titans. When contrasting the Frost Vark in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters to the likes of Godzilla and Kong, it becomes apparent that Titans come in all shapes and sizes in the Monsterverse.
Godzilla has long been known as the King of the Monsters, but that doesn't necessarily mean he dwarfs all the Titans in the Monsterverse. Both Ghidorah and the Monsterverse's Shimo have larger body masses, which goes to the show that there are indeed Titans out there bigger than both Godzilla and Kong. However, while there may be some monsters he'd have to look up to, none of the Titans shown on-screen are so big where Godzilla would have a massive size disadvantage.
Godzilla x Kong's Giant Skeleton Proves There's a Titan Way Bigger Than Godzilla & Kong Even Godzilla wouldn't be able to fight a monster of that size During Kong's exploration of the Subterranean Realm in Godzilla x Kong, there's a scene where he's shown walking across a skeleton that acts as a bridge. Such a moment seems more befitting to one of the human characters, given how it would make sense for a Titan skeleton to be big enough to hold of them.
As for the identity of the creature, that subject is currently open to speculation. However, other views of the skeleton indicate it may have been a giant serpent Titan of some kind. At some point in the Monsterverse timeline, whether it to be to natural causes or a battle with another creature, the colossal, snake-like Titan lost its life deep in the Hollow Earth world. Other than that, nothing concrete has been established about its place in Monsterverse lore.
Godzilla x Kong's Secret Titan Could Be Godzilla vs. Kong 3 's Villain While Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire's mystery Titan has long been dead, it can still represent a future threat. After all, it's not impossible that other members of its species are out there in the Monsterverse somewhere. If that's the case, one could easily fill the role of the villain in Godzilla and Kong's next movie.
