The top six vote-getters among outfielders through June 27 advance to a week-long finals vote phase set to begin June 30. Starters at all eight defensive positions in each league, plus designated hitters will be announced July 7.
Ramírez, a five-time All-Star, has not started at third base for the AL since 2018. He holds a lead of more than 580,000 votes over Baltimore’s Jordan Westburg. Giménez, a starter for the AL at second base in 2022, remained fifth behind Jose Altuve and Marcus Semien. Naylor is now 546,000 votes behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of Toronto for second place at first base. Baltimore’s Ryan Mountcastle surged ahead of Guerrero after last week’s first ballot update to claim the top spot.
Fry, a long shot at designated hitter, trails Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees by just 10,761 votes for the second spot behind leader Yordan Alvarez of Houston .
