On May 8 an officer on patrol was flagged down by Giant Eagle security personnel who reported that a man left the store without paying for several grocery items he had placed in a shopping cart.
The 43-year-old Cleveland man was arrested for the theft of over $520 in groceries.On May 9 an officer saw a disabled car near Hilliard Blvd. The car had sustained recent damage, and the officer found a utility pole nearby that had corresponding damage. The driver of the car told officers he was headed home to Cleveland after having gone out the night before. However, the man was headed the opposite direction of his home. Other indicators of alcohol intoxication were present.
