Gran disgusted by 'dirty and scummy' Skelmersdale swimming pools - and says she won't go back again
A grandmother has vowed not to return to a council-owned swimming pool after encountering cold and dirty conditions.
The woman said she is not willing to visit the Nye Bevan Pool again and will instead travel out of town to go swimming. The facility is owned by West Lancashire Borough Council which has plans to knock it down and replace it with a more modern alternative. However, in the meantime there are concerns that the current building is not being adequately looked after.
"First thing on a Monday morning you would expect it to be clean. Plus school children are doing there lessons in there, it was appalling. There's no excuse not to keep it clean.
