Gov. Spencer Cox has vetoed seven bills out of nearly 600 passed by the Utah Legislature in the last session—and will let a measure allowing medical uses of psychedelics to become law without his signature.

In a letter to legislative leaders, he said a task force had been set up to advise the legislature on the best ways to study psilocybin “and I’m disappointed that their input was ignored.”Earlier, at his monthly PBS Utah news conference on Thursday, Cox said the legislature passed too many bills, nearly 600.Utah Gov.
