The sudden departure of Gov. Josh Shapiro’s Secretary of Legislative Affairs Mike Vereb on Wednesday comes amid allegations of sexual harassment made by a former female deputy secretary who worked in the governor’s office.
The document also charges that she was retaliated against when she complained, the woman wrote in a draft of a Human Relations Commission complaint recently obtained by PennLive. Pascal declined to “confirm the contents or authenticity of any alleged complaint, draft complaint or written statement alleged to be from” the woman. He further said he could not “confirm the existence of any settlement, agreement, or other resolution of this matter.”Vereb, a former Republican Montgomery County lawmaker, did not respond to requests for comment on Thursday.
