At Dr. Theresa Cullen's request, Gov. Katie Hobbs has withdrawn the Pima County Public Health Director's nomination for the Director of Arizona Arizona Department of Health Services.
TUCSON, Ariz. — Governor Katie Hobbs announced Tuesday that Dr. Theresa Cullen has withdrawn her nomination for the top job at the Arizona Department of Health Services after the Arizona Senate Nominations Committee last week voted along party lines to reject her appointment.
Cullen served as Pima County's Public Health Director beginning in June 2020, and served in that position for the height of the COVID pandemic policies.
