Alphabet Inc.’s Google Cloud on Tuesday made its boldest move yet to grab a large slice of a potential $1 trillion market for artificial intelligence among enterprise companies.

“We are bringing AI to real-world business problems,” Kevin Ichhpurani, vice president of ecosystem and channels for Google Cloud, said in an exclusive interview. “Enterprises want to reinvent their customer services, bring efficiencies in how they do things like claims in insurance, personal financial advice in finance and clinical trials in healthcare.”

“You’re going to see the transformation of companies and industries to generative AI at a much more accelerated rate than what happened with either the internet or the cloud,” Sunhail Nimji, Jasper AI’s chief business officer, said in an interview. “It will be a thousand times faster.” Box announced its own set of AI tools in late April. Meta Platforms Inc. META plans an AI briefing later this week, and Microsoft and ServiceNow Inc. NOW are expected to follow suit next week.
