Gold has benefited from safe-haven inflows since the collapse of California’s Silicon Valley Bank earlier this month. The yellow metal traded modestly higher on Friday. “Risk aversion is again elevated to end the trading week, as focus is now on credit default swaps with Deutsch Bank that are suggesting stress for that bank,” said Jim Wyckoff, senior analyst at Kitco.com.
