Outgoing Rep. Lee Zeldin , who lost his gubernatorial race against Gov. Kathy Hochul during the midterm elections, also announced he might run to unseat McDaniel last week.McDaniel said earlier this month that she would run for reelection if members of her party wanted her to. If elected, it would be her fourth two-year term as co-chairwoman of the RNC. She has already garnered a great deal of support, with nearly 100 of the 168 voting members pleading their support, according to Politico.
