When this location came up we came and looked at it a couple times. What kept bringing me back was the actual location and the College Park community it serves. There’s nothing around here. I live nearby and my kids go to school near here. I knew the neighbourhood and thought it was just absolutely perfect for us.Article contentThe rink burger is the basis for everything. When we first started talking about burgers, we started talking about the type of burgers that people loved growing up.

Then we have what we refer to as our craft burgers, which are the ones that we’ve built. We’ve built those ones through what we love, what we like to eat, experiences that we’ve had, places we’ve gone. They’re all kind of tailored to fit a story that one or both of us have had. And then that travelled over into our sandwiches and our hot dogs. That’s kind of the whole point of coming here.

And it’s not just to see who can make the silliest burger, the biggest this or that. We’re not doing it as a stunt. We’re doing it because it’s awesome. It’s delicious.Growing up we ate a lot of bologna. It was almost a staple in our house. So we said, who doesn’t like a fried bologna sandwich? Everyone has a fond memory of a bologna sandwich, we hope. We contacted local butcherto create a bologna for us. So he did, and our bologna stack is fabulous.

Even our buns, we went through probably about a dozen different buns, trying to figure out what bun we would want. We thought we wanted a brioche bun, but we weren’t locked in. We looked at a potato bun, we looked at Kaiser buns, different weights of buns, different sizes. And then we ended up with a bun made locally by Nestor’s Bakery. They make our bun specifically, delivered every day for us, except Sunday. It was new for them.
