Global Impact Initiative and TENT Partnership collaborated to host the Refugee Hiring and Community Resource Fair in Austin on Sunday.

Refugees from Africa, Afghanistan and Ukraine were all invited to the event as they traveled to the Austin Metro area to escape the violence and unrest that they were experiencing in their areas. The TENT Partnership is a coalition of businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governments that work together to support refugees in the United States. Their goal is to create opportunities and resources that empower refugees to thrive and contribute to their new communities."We feel so far away, but we also feel motivated to help in whatever way that looks like," events manager Carinna De Leon said about the event.
