The man whose home Xavier Tate Jr. was found in when he was arrested for the murder of CPD Ofc. Luis Huesca is also facing felony charges.
Eric HorngMalik Murphy of Glendale Heights is charged with a felony after police say he helped accused Chicago police officer killer Xavier Tate Jr. hide.
"I was just shocked because he wasn't, you know, Malik wasn't really the type of guy that I would expect to be in this type of sort of serious situation," Baylor Esposito said. Authorities have declined to say how Tate Jr. and Murphy knew each other, or what led to police and U.S. Marshals to Glendale Heights.
