Schoen on Tuesday traded with the Bills — his former employer — for defensive end Carlos “Boogie” Basham, who will add pass rushing depth.by NFL Network — are as follows: The Bills and Giants will swap late-round draft picks in 2025.Isaiah SimmonsBasham was a second-round pick in 2021 . But he never did much with the Bills — 2.5 sacks in 2021 and two sacks in 2022. He played in 23 games for them, with no starts.
This is a low-risk move by Schoen, just as the Simmons trade was. Basham has two years left on his rookie contract, with salaries of $1.1 million and $1.3 million. NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Basham trade means Schoen will have to make one additional roster move — likely a cut — in order to free up a spot for Basham.Oh, and Basham’s nickname is Boogie because he liked to dance around a lot as a kid.on Basham — who played at Wake Forest — from before the 2021 NFL Draft:
