The New York Giants have sat Daniel Jones and are now allowing Drew Lock to take over in the fourth quarter of the Eagles game.
The New York Giants are currently being beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles 28-3, and have decided to make a change at quarterback. Early in the fourth quarter, the team decided to replace Daniel Jones with Drew Lock.Lock comes in to try and lead the Giants into scoring some sort of points, though he will be up against this tough Eagles defense that has kept New York limited all Sunday.Jones has gone 14 for 21 passes for 99 yards in the game and is now being sat in favor for Lock.
During the 2024 NFL Draft, the Giants opted to draft a playmaker instead of targeting one of the highly touted quarterback prospects coming out of college. The team went with wide receiver Malik Nabers with the No. 6 overall pick, which ended up being a good pick.Nabers has been excellent in his rookie season, putting together 386 yards and three touchdowns through four games. The young rookie was knocked out of Week 4 and 5 after suffering a concussion, but he is back in the lineup.
