Starting this Saturday, meteorologist Brittany Begley will be joining Brittany Jeffers and Cathy Hernandez on the weekend morning news at KPRC 2!
Her journey started as an intern in Charlotte, where she balanced a hectic work schedule with being a mother.Belgley felt like she didn’t fit the mold of a traditional reporter, but said she began to be comfortable in her own skin once she embraced her differences. She wants to inspire others to do the same.
“I want people to see me, and think, ‘Your past doesn’t define you. Labels and judgments don’t define you. You define you,’” Begley said.“They were so great, so welcoming,” she said. “That’s why I’m so excited to be here, because the people really cherish us, and we cherish them. We need to know who they are and make them feel good on sunny days, so when it is storming, when we have hurricanes, when lives are on the line and we have to push ourselves, they know that we care.
