The PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational will be held at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego due to the devastating wildfires in Pacific Palisades. The tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods, was originally scheduled to take place at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. This move means San Diego will host two Tour events within a three-week period, with the Farmers Insurance Open currently underway at Torrey Pines.
The tournament at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, hosted by golf icon Tiger Woods, was displaced because of the devastating fires in Pacific Palisades.
“We are grateful to Farmers Insurance, Mayor Todd Gloria and the City of San Diego and the Century Club for extending the invitation to relocate The Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines,” Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement released Friday morning. The Genesis is one of eight “signature events” in 2025 that offer more purse money and FedEx Cup points. The tournament will offer $20 million to players, compared to $9.3 million at the Farmers.
