Could Fry and Bender be headed to the big screen?

While Futurama season 11 marks the second time the show has been revived following cancellation by a previous network, back in 2007, the series returned in the form of four direct-to-video movies after Fox initially scrapped the show after season 4.
"This return took a lot longer, but Matt [Groening], David [Herman] and the writers figured out a very elegant way of bringing the show back. Also, the range and appeal of Futurama is so broad and our universe so large we simply have a lot of stories left to tell." What Does The Future Hold For Futurama? Despite 2013’s season 10 providing viewers with a definitive end to the series, excitement was palpable among the show’s fandom when season 11 was announced by Hulu in February 2022. While there was initially some concern that Bender’s voice actor John DiMaggio may not return over a salary dispute, he eventually did sign on alongside each of his original co-stars.
