With Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Panther Creek losing this week, Lone Star joins Frisco Reedy as the last remaining Frisco ISD programs in the playoffs.

A Frisco ISD school has never won a state championship in football, though Lone Star came the closest in 2015, when it advanced to the 5A Division II state championship game.Lone Star lost 26-24 in the area round to Forney, which went on to be a 5A Division I state semifinalist.With 5:44 remaining in the first quarter, Hoyt scored the game’s first touchdown on a 1-yard quarterback keeper after Red Oak made two straight goal line stops.
