The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole released new information pertaining to Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt's scheduled original hearings.
Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt will be sentenced Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, each for four counts of second-degree felony aggravated child abuse .
Utah Board of Pardons and Parole planned to hold original hearings for both Franke and Hildebrandt in September, 2024 "The Board has conducted a scheduling review to determine the date of your original hearing in compliance with Utah Administrative Rule R671-201," wrote the board in a recent decision. "In setting a date, the Board considers you minimum, sentence/sentencing guideline, sentencing reports, the nature of the offense, victim impact in applicable cases, rehabilitative needs, and other relevant documentation.
Four charges of aggravated child abuse are listed on the document, carrying a sentence of 1-15 years. Back in February, both Franke and Hildebrandt were sentenced consecutively. As it's listed in the document, the first charge is set to 'expire' on 8/30/2038; the second on 8/30/2053, the third on 8/30/2068 and the final charge; 8/30/2083.
