A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed at a Fort Worth TX home over the weekend. Police investigating.

Police said they responded to a home in the city’s Historic Southside neighborhood, where they found the teen with a gunshot wound.A Fort Worth 16-year-old died late Sunday after being shot at a home in the city’s Historic Southside neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of E. Hattie Street and found the victim with a gunshot wound, according to Fort Worth police. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. The victim was identified as Decoreion Demond Anthony Williams, according to records from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The records say Williams death was a homicide as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. He died around 10:20 p.m.

A police spokesperson said homicide detectives are “interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”
