A Fort Worth man was arrested Tuesday night after a man was shot and killed following an altercation in Grand Prairie.

Zahrek Eugene Patton, 20, faces a murder charge in the shooting, police said. According to a Grand Prairie police news release, officers responded at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of East Palace Parkway on reports of a shooting.At the scene, police found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.Patton was located nearby and arrested.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin are notified, police said.Matt is a breaking news reporter.
