Seattle’s former starting safeties have landed on the same team.
Former Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs has finally found his new team, and he’ll have a familiar teammate alongside him this preseason. Having already added Jamal Adams last month, the Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with Diggs, reuniting the two former Seahawks starters together in Nashville. The source is NFL insider Quandre Diggs. It was reported in mid-July by Titans beat reporter Paul Kuharsky that Tennessee “explored” signing Diggs, and now they’ve actually done it.
Diggs played five seasons in Seattle after he was acquired via fleecing trade from the Detroit Lions. He quickly became one of the most important players on the Seahawks defense, and was given a new contract even after suffering a broken fibula in the 2021 finale against the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, as the Seahawks defense collectively struggled, Diggs drew the ire of fans for missed tackles and some of the explosive plays allowed against both the run and pass.
