Tyvis Powell is joining Big Ten Network as a traveling analyst for its B1G Tailgate show this season.

Powell and Hall will start the season at Purdue, where the Boilermakers will host Fresno State in their Sept. 2 season opener. They’ll follow that by going to Michigan State for the second week of the season , Wisconsin for Week 3 , Michigan for Week 4 and Minnesota for Week 5 .

Powell is now one of several former Ohio State football players working in the college football media this season that includes, among others: His former teammate Joshua Perry, who will be a part of NBC’s inaugural season of Big Ten football coverage; Kirk Herbstreit, ABC’s lead color commentator and a member of ESPN’s College GameDay panel; Joey Galloway, a studio analyst for ESPN; and Bobby Carpenter, who co-hosts Morning Juice on 97.1 The Fan.
