Two officers who defended the U.S. Capitol during the riot on Jan. 6, 2021, faced boos and walkouts by some lawmakers in the Pennsylvania House earlier this week.News 8 spoke with Democratic Majority Caucus Chair Mike Schlossberg, who said that when the speaker introduced former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and his ex-boss, former Sgt. Aquilino Gonell , on Wednesday, a majority of Republicans refused to stand and applaud, walked out or started booing.
'Unfortunately, they have, through House processes, demonstrated a pattern of antagonizing members and inviting division and discord for their political and campaign purposes. This is something that is continuing to frustrate our members and is damaging the credibility of all the actions of the Democrat majority.'Dunn said in a text to The Associated Press that he heard a commotion but could not make out what was being said. He thanked Cutler for taking a photo with them.
