Former NFL All-Pro LaVar Arrington think that George Pickens is the new iteration of Antonio Brown.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is pulled away from Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II at the end of the game during Thursday Night Football.on Thursday during the game’s final play, critics have poured it on, and Arrington is the latest to criticize Pickens sharply.
“I thought it was a bad look,” Arrington said. “Pickens has been one that has come up quite a bit in the media in terms of almost like he’s the new iteration of Antonio Brown, Mr. CTESPN representative.”“Like I said, conditions played a huge, huge part in this game. I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. The conditions kinda saved them today,” Pickens said.
The NFL will review the brawl with Newsome, but it is unlikely that Pickens will face a suspension. However, as a repeat offender, he is likely to face a hefty fine. Pickens' maturity has come up often in discussions around him, but his third-year breakout is ongoing. He is on track to set career highs in all stats, but the Steelers will have to decide if giving him a contract will be worth it or not in the offseason.
