According to reports, he was arrested back in August on a vandalism charge, but was declared incompetent to stand trial and was sent to Los Angeles’ Metropolitan State Hospital.
Wilson Jr. is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals running back Stanley Wilson Sr. He played collegiately at Stanford before the Lions took him in the third round, 72nd-overall, of the 2005 draft. He played with the team through the 2007 season, recording 89 tackles, and eight pass breakups.
He did not play again after that 2007 season, though, and TMZ said he had a history of run-ins with the law since. That included a 2016 incident in which he was charged with attempted burglary in an incident in which he police say he was shot in the abdomen while trying to break into a home in Portland while he was nude. It said Wilson Jr.
Then, last August, it said he was arrested after police said he broke into a home, took a bath in an outdoor fountain and then tore up the place. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
