The Commissioner Exempt List is not the same as being suspended by the league commissioner. Ross is in his second season with the Chiefs, although he did not play during his first campaign. Ross joined the Chiefs last year as an undrafted rookie from Clemson. But coming off foot surgery, he spent the 2022 campaign on injured reserve. This season, Ross has played in all seven games and has been on the field for 81 offensive snaps and 63 special-teams plays. He has three receptions for 34 yards.
At Central-Phenix City, Ross earned ASWA first-team All-State recognition in 2016 and 2017 after being a second-team pick in 2015.
