What’s on the table so far are wage increases in the range of 20% over four years, reduced time to advance through pay scales, higher top rates for newer employees, enhanced retirement benefits, and more paid time off, among other things.
Chairman Ford Jr. could make a plea to the union to relent. He could also talk about the potential to lock out workers, signaling further escalation. Investors will have to wait and see.
