Florence Pugh said her grandfather was critical of her appearance on screen, asking why she showed the 'ugly parts.'

Looking back on the industry's expectations surrounding beauty, Pugh said that she"always thought there was a better way to do it." After further consideration, Pugh's grandmother agreed to join her and began the passport renewal process. "I hugged her and asked if she would like to stand with me for a picture, her eyes lit up whilst also saying, ‘Oh they don’t want to see me...,’" Pugh wrote.
