Highs will be the in 70s and lows drop down into the 40s!
Sunday is the warmest day of the week... cooler, fall-like weather returns after a cold front passed through late Monday!MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Two weeks into October and finally we have some cooler than normal temperatures... a cold front will roll through the area today, bringing with it a lot of cooler, drier air and maybe a few quick shower or two.
Monday’s temperatures will be the trickiest to pin down - the reason is the timing of the cold front front. Some spots, especially north of Montgomery, only make it into the mid and upper 70s today while those who live in south Alabama still warm into the low and mid 80s. As the front comes through on Monday, there’s not much moisture in the atmosphere; this means that any rain that forms along this front will be very isolated, very light and very brief.

While this week will be beautiful, some rain would also be a welcome development. The latest drought monitor shows much of Alabama under abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions, and will a forecast calling for no beneficial wet weather, this week’s update will only worsen as dry weather persists.The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a potential area over that has a medium chance for development over the next week.
