Neighbors who live off Minor Avenue and East Lynn Street said the massive flames ripped through several units.
“It hit a propane tank as they were kind of starting to get the hoses ready and we were all worried about it hitting this other place next to it,” said Anderson.
“You had fire trucks in the alleyway and lights, and I woke up and I’m like, ‘Is there anything in my building?’” said Eastlake resident Amy Yerrington. Seattle Fire said no one was injured. Anderson said neighbors were quick to react and help out those impacted. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and as the smell of smoke lingers, neighbors continue to check on one another.
“Everyone is texting each other like, ‘Are you OK? Did you see what happened on Minor?’ So it’s a really strong community in Eastlake,” said Anderson.
