How they got here:
SDSU beat No. 12 seed Charleston, No. 13 seed Furman, No. 1 Alabama and No. 6 Creighton. FAU beat No. 8 Memphis, No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 3 Kansas State. When the Owls have the ball: Their offense looks suspiciously similar to Wyoming, and FAU coach Dusty May admits that he admires coach Jeff Linder’s system and spent time with him at a coaching clinic. There are also elements of what Creighton ran on Sunday in SDSU’s 57-56 win in the Elite Eight. The Owls average 78.8 points with what the Kenpom.com metric rates as the nation’s 24offense. They don’t do any one thing elite but a lot of things well.
