Deputies were searching the nearby neighborhoods and Los Amigos Golf Course to see if any juveniles had escaped during the fight.
DOWNEY — Officers from two law enforcement agencies surrounded Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey tonight in response to a fight at the recently reopened facility.
Officers from the Downey Police Department and the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station responded after 9 p.m. to the juvenile hall after the Downey Police Department called for assistance after a fight broke out, NBC 4 reported. A spokeswoman with the Los Angeles County Probation Department, which runs the facility, told City News Service “we are still gathering information” about the fight.
