Fiat Chrysler sees lower sales globally, including in its key U.S. market
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said first-quarter operating profit fell 29% as the auto maker posted lower sales globally, including in its key U.S. market, and troubles in Europe drove a loss in that region.
The Italian-American auto maker said Friday that pretax profit excluding one-time factors for the January-to-March period was €1.07 billion in the quarter, down from €1.5 billion the same period a year earlier. Earnings per share came in at €36 cents, trailing analysts’ estimates of €47 cents a share....
