The polls in Pennsylvania will be open until 8 p.m.
Primary election day 2023 certainly isn’t going to smash any voter turnout records.
“Generally on municipal elections they are a little light on turnout,” said Susan Bailey, judge of elections for the 10-3 precinct at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Linda Farr, who votes in Lemoyne’s third ward and was handing out campaign literature, said voting is something we all should be doing. The rules are simple. Only registered Republicans and Democrats can vote in the primaries in Pennsylvania. Only Republicans can vote in their primaries, and only Democrats can vote in their primaries. Registered independents and third-party voters can only vote on questions in primaries in Pennsylvania but, there aren’t any statewide questions on the ballot in Tuesday’s election.
Both Democrats and Republicans have two choices for one seat on the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
